DN Spends Memorial Day with Our Friends From AFRH

Double Nickels Escorts Five WWII Veterans to the National Memorial Day Festivities No cooking out for me this year. Instead I opted to escort five WWII veterans to the National World War II Memorial and have them participate in the beautiful wreath laying ceremony. This was indeed a sincere and humbling Memorial Day. By ten o’clock the sun was high over the mall and not one of the vets was the least bit wilted. And their average age was 89 years
