Good Morning World! My feet haven’t hit the floor yet – my iPad and my iPhone are right next to my bed. I wake up between 3:00 and 4:00AM – and listen to the birds sing – nice way to start my day – sometimes I wake up before they do. It’s really relaxing to just use this time thinking about what I want to do today.- this is why my feet have not yet hit the floor!
At this season of my life, I have so much parading around in my cranium that sometimes thoughts get lost. So when I catch a particularly interesting thought running by, I capture it by jotting it done on my iPad or iPhone. This is why I keep them right beside my bed. I am also at the age where family will call me at any time of the day or night….they know I am probably awake.
Waiting for the sunrise in the quiet of the dark before dawn is different everyday – but you know the sun will rise and the birds will sing. What brings the smiles is trying to figure out if the birds sing the same song everyday and what colors will the sun give you this morning.
There is no way that my day can begin anyway but fabulously! now my feet can hit the floor and I know I am ready for whatever may come.
You have to be a Social Senior to fully appreciate why you do have to take time to reflect and why it really is not a waste of time.
We will chat again soon…….
