Our Friend, the African Continuum Theatre Company, will announce all the details of their 2011-2012 season on Wednesday, August 31 at DCTV at 6:30pm. They are Washington’s only full-time, professional African American Theatre Company.
Last season over 2,000 patrons:
- Attended an Off the Circuit Performance Ensemble program, including National Geographic’s American I Am Exhibition and the National Park Services’ Black History Program in Arlington, VA.
- Were the first to hear new works by P.J. Gibson and Dominique Morisseau during the Fresh Flavas new play reading series.
- Saw the world-premiere of Mirandy and Brother Wind
- Attended the sold-out and critically-acclaimed production of Blues for Alabama Sky directed by the award-winner Walter Dallas.
This season is no different. The theme for the season is Abundance and Opportunity. With a full and exuberant season schedule of programs, there are plenty of opportunities for you to enjoy and experience one or several of African Continuum Theatre’s quality performances or events.
